Snowbound Expo Recap

Snowbound Expo Recap

Whew...Birdie is still recovering from the FUN hangover following the Snowbound Expo which was held in Boston across the weekend of November 3-5th. It was BirdieBlue's first time exhibiting at a trade show. It was truly a learning experience packed with events, gold medal winning olympians, and new friends.

The weekend kicked off with set up...

and perhaps the best part...seeing how many attendees saved their old gear from the landfill by bringing it to Birdie's booth for donating and upcycling.

BirdieBlue partnered with Subaru of New England to donate any useable gear to Second Chances, a local Boston based non profit, that reuses and recycles clothing, shoes, and accessories so that homeless and lower-income people feel confident and valued as they take their first steps toward brighter futures. Any gear that showed a little too much love was upcycled by Birdie through the weekend.

We had a collection center and an clothing breakdown area set up to allow Birdie friends to jump in on the upcycling fun. Can't wait to show you all the NEW bags we will create from this OLD gear.
The whole weekend was a blast and now we can't wait for ski and snowboard season!
LET IT SNOW ❄️
