A Partnership Built on Retro Ski Style and Sustainability
If you don’t already know them, OOSC Clothing (Original Old School Clothing) is on a mission to bring retro ski fashion back to life — with bright colors, bold designs, and an energy that’s all about having fun.
I met OOSC founders Nick and Aaron at Outdoor Retailer in 2022, just after BirdieBlue had launched. When I walked by their colorful, retro styled booth, I instantly knew our partnership was meant to be. Their vibe was bold, fun, and full of personality — just like the gear we love to upcycle.
As we started talking and sharing more about the ethos behind our brands, we quickly connected over our shared sustainability missions. A few weeks later, OOSC sent Birdie a handful of broken ski suits that couldn’t be sold or repaired. We got to work and launched our very first collection: a small run of OOSC x BirdieBlue fanny packs.
They sold out almost immediately. Since then, the momentum hasn’t slowed. We’re now on our third collection, our biggest and most colorful yet, and we can’t wait to see where we take the partnership next.
And OOSC isn’t just about great style — they’re deeply committed to sustainability too:
🌎 The majority of their clothing is made from recycled polyester sourced from plastic bottles, plus organic cotton in all soft goods.
🌊 Their Yeh Man collection is crafted from repurposed fishing nets and ocean waste, actively helping to clean up our oceans.
♻️ They even launched a pre-loved shop on their site, making it easier for customers to buy secondhand and extend the life of their gear.
