This partnership brings together so many things we care deeply about at BirdieBlue: sustainability, women’s empowerment, community impact, and creating opportunities right here in Vermont.
Since day one, BirdieBlue has been built around the idea that old gear can become something meaningful again. By upcycling discarded ski and snowboard gear into personality filled bags, we’re helping keep materials out of landfills while inspiring people to adventure boldly and live more consciously.
Supporting the More Green More Good campaign felt like a natural extension of that mission.
Vermont Green FC has quickly become one of the most exciting purpose driven sports organizations in the country. Founded in 2022, the club believes soccer can be a catalyst for environmental sustainability and social justice, values that align closely with everything we stand for at BirdieBlue. This summer marks the launch of the club’s inaugural women’s team, creating more visibility and opportunity for female athletes in Vermont and beyond.
At the same time, Vermont Works for Women has been advancing economic justice and gender equity across Vermont since 1987. Through career coaching, trades training, career exploration programs, and workforce development initiatives, the organization helps women and youth build confidence, skills, and meaningful careers.
The More Green More Good campaign connects these missions in a powerful way. Throughout the Vermont Green women’s season, participating sponsors pledge donations for every home goal scored, directly supporting Vermont Works for Women’s statewide programs. Every goal becomes an opportunity to invest in women, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact across Vermont.
At BirdieBlue, we know sustainability isn’t just about the products we create. It’s also about building stronger communities, supporting equity, and investing in a future that works better for everyone. We’re proud to support initiatives that empower women, expand opportunity, and encourage businesses to think more intentionally about their impact.
We’re also excited to connect with the Vermont community in person throughout the season. BirdieBlue will be at Vermont Green home games on May 23 and June 22 alongside Vermont Works for Women and other community partners. If you’re heading to the games, come stop by and say hi!
