2024 Wrapped: Big Adventures, Bold Bags, and Your Impact!

2024: A Year of Big Adventures, Bold Bags, and Even Bigger Impact šŸŒŸ

What a year itā€™s been! As we wrap up 2024, we canā€™t help but reflect on the amazing milestones, adventures, and connections that made this year unforgettable. From saving thousands of pieces of gear from landfills to expanding our team and operations, BirdieBlue soared higher than ever before. And we owe it all to YOU ā€” our incredible community of eco-conscious adventurers. Ready to dive into the highlights of the year? Letā€™s go!

Milestones Achieved in Sustainability

Sustainability has always been at the heart of BirdieBlue, and this year we took it to the next level. In 2024, we saved an additional 2,356 pieces of old gear from landfills, bringing our 2.5-year total to an astounding 5,267 upcycled pieces.

Every piece saved is a testament to our mission of giving new life to old gear, and we couldnā€™t have done it without our amazing partners and supporters. From collaborating with ski mountains to working with eco-conscious brands, each effort brought us closer to our vision of a more sustainable future.

Our Growing Flock šŸ¦šŸ’™

This year, the BirdieBlue team grew stronger and bolder! We welcomed five talented Vermont-based sewists and two production assistants to our flock, each bringing their unique skills and creativity to the table. With their help, weā€™ve scaled our operations, crafted even more one-of-a-kind bags, and saved more clothes from the garbage than ever before.

Oh, and did we mention we moved out of Kateā€™s garage? Thatā€™s right ā€” BirdieBlue now calls the NEST, our new production studio, home. This dedicated space has been a game-changer, allowing us to spread our wings and dream even bigger for 2025.

Expanding Our Reach

In 2024, we hit the road and connected with our community like never before. From attending 36 events to meeting thousands of new friends and reconnecting with OG supporters, we loved every moment of sharing the BirdieBlue story.

A major highlight? Being profiled on WCAX News! Seeing our mission amplified on such a platform was a proud moment for the entire team and an opportunity to inspire even more people to join the upcycling movement.

New Products and Partnerships

This year marked the debut of the Traveler Dopp Kit, our newest upcycled masterpiece. The first collection sold out in record time (donā€™t worry ā€” weā€™re busy crafting more as we speak!).

On the partnership front, we solidified our relationship with REI, restocking Birdie Bags a whopping 10 times in 2024. We also joined forces with eco-conscious teams like OOSC, TurtleFur, Skida, the US Ski Team, Cravn Jewelry, and Duckfeet. Each collaboration brought new energy and creativity, and we canā€™t wait to see whatā€™s next.

Birdie Bags in Action

With over 1,000 Birdie Bags sold in 2024, there are now more than 2,000 upcycled beauties adventuring across the globe. Whether itā€™s hitting the slopes, hiking trails, or running errands, our bags have become trusty companions for adventurers like you.

One story that warmed our hearts came from a customer who took their Birdie Bag on a once-in-a-lifetime trek through Patagonia, proving that upcycled gear can keep up with even the most epic journeys.

Thank You, BirdieBlue Family šŸ’™

None of this would be possible without YOU. Your support, enthusiasm, and commitment to sustainability fuel everything we do. Thank you for believing in our mission, rocking your Birdie Bags, and inspiring us to dream bigger.

As we look to 2025, weā€™re excited to continue growing, innovating, and spreading the joy of upcycling. Stay tuned for new products, partnerships, and adventures ā€” and be sure to follow along for the journey.
